Rangers (Ages 11 - 12)

Ready to take on the world … the world of Cosby that is! The Rangers can now participate in every activity offered by Camp Cosby! Our Ranger counselors help your child acquire a greater sense of responsibility, build leadership skills, and discover an increase in self-reliance. Many Ranger activities encourage the children to achieve at a higher level than what they, at first, thought was possible. Climbing the Alpine Tower and achieving team success on the High Ropes Team Building Challenge Course are excellent examples of this. Ask them about these activities when they return home!

From zipping down the Zoom to jumping wakes on a wakeboard, a Ranger’s week is packed from beginning to end:

  • Alpine Tower

  • Aqua Jump

  •  Archery

  • Banana Boat

  • Arts & Crafts

  • Tubing

  • Canoeing/ Fun yakking

  • Dance/ Drama

  • Fishing

  • Hiking

Rangers can also enroll in Camp Cosby’s Specialty Camps! Any child who wants to spend one half of each day experiencing one activity in depth, may enroll in Wrangler Camp to learn to ride and care for horses, Horse Riding, Minibike Camp to learn to care for and ride minibikes, or Water-skiing and Wakeboarding Camp, to learn to water-ski and wakeboard.

The rest of each day and evening will be just the same as the other campers in Ranger Village.

We also have a special option for girls who enjoy science and are 9 to 12 years old. SciGirls Camp is a very exciting camp that is being offered for our fourth year. It is a special week for girls to learn about and really “do” science with other girls. This can be a life-changing camp where they will also enjoy the fun and adventure of Camp Cosby.
