Expeditions (11 to 15 year olds)
Are you looking for an adrenaline-filled outdoor
experience? Let Cosby Expeditions take you to it! Open to
ages 11- 15, Expeditions travel all over the Southeast. Our
highly qualified trip leaders will take each child on an
outdoor adventure, and not only make it memorable and fun,
but incorporate outdoor survival skills as an integral part
of each expedition. Climbing, caving, whitewater rafting,
surfing, snorkeling, whitewater kayaking, and even llama
packing are all possible with Cosby Expeditions! This year,
choose from
Rock ‘n’ Roll, Southeastern Excursion, Sea Turtle
Expedition, Llama Trek, or Florida Surf. Check the

Rock N’ Roll
Campers ages 11, 12, 13, 14 & 15—Come rock out some of the
toughest rock faces in Tennessee! If that wasn’t enough,
roll through the white water of the Hiawassee River. Start
this six day adventure with technical rock climbing on Star
Mountain overlooking the Hiawassee River. After two days of
the amazing view try to kayak it. We will take part in white
water kayak instruction, rescues, and rafting. Finally a
short hike on Friday will take your breath away when you end
up at an 80 foot waterfall. If this isn’t extreme, then you
can call me crazy! Check-In Sunday 1:00 p.m. Check-Out
Friday 6:30 p.m.
This expedition trip is offered for Session 1 (June 1-6) and
Session 9 (July 27-August 1).
South East Excursion
Campers ages 11, 12, 13, 14, & 15—Think canoeing is just a
float down a stream? Not this trip. We will be tackling
Class I & II rapids in a two man canoe. After getting some
white water under us, we will move down and into the earth’s
crust to check out some amazing caves with out spelunking
extravaganza. From white water to down under this trip will
surely make you sweat. Check-In Sunday 1:00 p.m. Check-Out
Friday 6:30 p.m. This expedition trip is offered for Session
2 (June 8-June 13) and Session 10 (August 3-August 8).
Sea Turtle Expedition
Campers ages 11, 12, 13, 14, & 15—Be inspired by the
courageous loggerhead turtles as they show us the circle of
life. The group will take part in a presentation of the
lives of the amazing loggerhead turtles, then scout out a
nesting place on the beach in Bonstell County Park in
Florida. Being that close to the beach we can’t waste the
surf, so enjoy two days of boogie boarding and surfing in
the Atlantic Ocean. Check-In Sunday 10:00 a.m. Check-Out
Friday 6:30 p.m. This expedition trip is offered for Session
3 (June 15-June 20) and Session 6 (July 6-July 11).
Llama Trek
Campers ages 11, 12, 13, 14, & 15—What is a Llama? Find out
the answer to this question by going on a four day trip with
these tame animals. Learn how to pack, feed, and care for
the creature’s while on the trail. With the load mostly on
the Llama’s back, enjoy the terrene of the magnificent
Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina. Check-In Sunday
1:00 p.m. Check-Out Friday 6:30 p.m. This expedition trip is
offered for Session 4 (June 22-June 27) and Session 7 (July
13-July 18).
Florida Surf Adventure
Campers ages 11, 12, 13, 14, & 15—Cowabunga Dude! Paddle out
in the deep blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean to see if
you’re up to the challenge of taming the wild waves
of the East. Learn to surf with a professional at Cocoa
Beach, Florida. Spend the week riding all the gnarly waves
you can handle. Check-In Sunday 10:00 a.m. Check-Out Friday
6:30 p.m. This expedition trip is offered for Session 8
(July 20-July 25).
