Blazers (Ages 9 - 10)

Ready to choose your own adventure?! Blazers begin to gain independence by choosing their daily activities with the help of our caring staff.

Blazers experience tremendous growth of self esteem as they choose from an array of activities for five activity periods each day. They will also experience the Cosby Spirit through cabin team-building activities, daily cabin devotions lead by the cabin counselors, and living in peace with other children learning about the camp motto, “I Am Third,” after God first and others second.

Blazers get a taste of almost every activity at camp! And unlike other camps, Camp Cosby does not charge an additional fee for activities like wake boarding, mini biking, and horse riding.

Blazers can also enroll in Camp Cosby’s Specialty Camps! Any child who wants to spend one half of each day experiencing one activity in depth, may enroll in Wrangler Camp to learn to ride and care for horses, Horse Riding, Minibike Camp to learn to care for and ride minibikes, or Water skiing and Wakeboarding Camp, to learn to water ski and wakeboard.

The rest of each day and evening will be just the same as the other campers in Blazer Village.

We also have a special option for girls who enjoy science and are 9 to 12 years old. SciGirls Camp is a very exciting camp that is being offered for our fourth year. It is a special week for girls to learn about and really “do” science with other girls. This can be a life-changing camp where they will also enjoy the fun and adventure of Camp Cosby.
