Summer Camp
With 137 acres nestled in east Alabama, Camp Cosby provides
the perfect summer camp atmosphere to over 2,000 campers
each summer. Camp Cosby’s facilities and activities include:
- 22 air-conditioned cabins
- Waterpark
- Swimming pool
- Over 10 miles of trails for BMX, mini-bikes, horses,
and hiking
- Open air gym
- 22-stall horse barn
- 55-foot alpine tower
- Media center
- Ski Nautique boats
Along with the finest facilities, Camp Cosby staff
members are among the best! Camp Cosby searches all over the
world to find our wonderful camp counselors. Counselors are
selected on their ability to relate to campers using their
individual skills and talents. Summer camp staff attends
intensive leadership training before summer begins to be
equipped to meet every child’s needs.

The Outdoor Classroom
Extending the classroom to the outdoors...Camp Cosby's
Outdoor environmental education Program is a wonderful way
for students to learn about themselves, others, and the
natural world around themselves, others, and the natural

With a balance of individual exploration and small group
activities, Outdoor Environmental Education provides a
unique experience that helps students gain confidence and
leadership abilities.

Reserve Camp Cosby for Group Camping
Choose which elements you would like to include in your
stay, such as: nature hikes, kayaking, canoeing, the Alpine
Tower, teambuilding, campfires, arts & crafts and more. Camp
Cosby will prepare all your meals, provide you with clean,
comfortable lodging, and provide professional staffing where
needed. "Do It Yourself" package also available for groups
who have their own program plans.

Teambuilding
The success of any organization ultimately depends on how
efficiently its team works together toward a common goal. We
use the Alpine climbing tower, challenge course and other
group initiatives to help teams, groups, and organizations
come closer together. In a risk-free environment, the
professional staff at Camp Cosby will facilitate activities
that teach your group basic fundamentals of trust,
leadership, cooperation, better communication, planning and
