Gwen Tenney, our new Program Coordinator for the Outdoor Classroom, is the newest member of the Camp Cosby staff. She was born in Toledo, Ohio. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies at Lake Forest College in Illinois and a Master’s degree in Biology from the University of Toledo. Gwen has taught third-graders about photosynthesis, junior high school students about rock climbing, high school students about Global Positioning System technology, land managers about carbon recycling, and has presented her own original research at professional conferences as far abroad as Beijing, China. This is a dream job for Gwen because it combines her passion for environmental issues with the fun challenges of teaching youth. In her free time she loves to rock climb, hike, play traditional Celtic music on her flute, and explore the world!

Sara Petruzzi was born in Birmingham, Alabama and spent the majority of her childhood growing up in Guntersville, Alabama. Sara attended the College of Charleston and majored in Special Education. She began working at Camp Cosby in the summer of 2007. She truly enjoys the experience of working with children and finds each and every moment genuinely a unique experience. In her free time she enjoys backpacking, hiking, going to the beach, wakeboarding, reading, sushi, kayaking, listening to music, and shopping at thrift stores.

Emory Wheatley is from Odenville, Alabama and has worked at Camp Cosby for a year teaching outdoor education. In his free time Jason enjoys playing Guitar Hero, dancing, eating doughnuts, and telling jokes.
