
Camp Cosby’s Outdoor Classroom provides residential programs
offering hands-on experiential education in a wide variety
of topics, including: Forest Ecology, Wildlife Ecology,
Plant Ecology, Water Ecology, Outdoor Skills, Teambuilding,
and Living History. With over 45 different classes
correlated to the Alabama Course of Study, teachers from the
4th – 8th grades have a multitude of options to enhance what
they have been studying in the classroom, as well as
providing learning opportunities that are unavailable in the
classroom. Located in Alpine, Alabama (approximately 15
miles west of Talladega) with 137 acres and 2 ˝ miles of
lakefront, Camp Cosby is an ideal location for schools to
visit from throughout the state as well as Georgia and
Tennessee.
Rates
The following prices are for the Fall ’07 Spring ’08
Academic Year
Falcon Package
$89 per student
Includes two nights lodging, meals, 12 hours of daytime
classes, and two evening programs. Curriculum is
pre-determined for your grade level to ensure your trip
provides the greatest educational impact.
Hawk Package
$99 per student
Includes all of the above, plus your choice of our Alpine
Tower and Swing by Choice or our Low Ropes course in place
of three hours of daytime programming. Provide your students
with a unique individual challenge or team-building
experience in the safest, most structured environment.
Eagle Package
$124 per student
Complete your Outdoor Classroom experience with the addition
of souvenirs and snacks. Includes Hawk Package options plus
an allowance for the purchase of Camp Cosby keepsakes toward
the end of their stay as well as snacks twice a day.
Ala Carte
Want to create a completely unique experience? Pick out your
own curriculum in the Falcon Package, or build more into an
Eagle Package. Sign up for the Tower/Swing and Low Ropes, or
enjoy our pool and/or waterfront when in season. Customize
your trip to provide your students with lifelong memories!
