- Where do I find a packing list?

form for these labels in your confirmation packet.
- Where do I find directions to Camp

- Do I need boots if my child is not
doing a Specialty Camp? Yes, They will need boots if
they want to ride a horse or ride the mini bikes as an
activity
- What time is Check-In?
Check-In is Sunday at 1:00 p.m. (CST) or for Buckaroo
Session B Check-In is Wednesday 2:00 p.m.
- What time is Check-Out?
Check-Out is Friday at 6:30 p.m. or for Buckaroo Session
A Check-Out is Wednesday 1:00 p.m.

- How much is the deposit? $150
- Is the deposit refundable? The
deposit is non-refundable
- Does the deposit go toward the
cost of camp? Yes
- When is the final payment due?
May 1st
- Does my camper need extra money while at camp?
No, your camper will visit the store twice a day. They will
receive a snack and a drink each visit. On Thursday
evening your camper will get to choose a souvenir, on
Friday they will receive a Camp Cosby T-Shirt and then
in their Check-Out package you will have a picture of
their Cabin Group.
- Does my child need a physical, if
he/she is in good health? Yes, all campers are
required to show proof of a physical that has been done
within the last 24 months. If your child has had a
physical through school, sports or some type of
activity, you may attach a copy of that physical to our
form.
- When is my
Health form due to the
camp? Two weeks before your camper's session date
- Can I bring my
Health form with me
at check-in? No, we need the form two weeks prior to
Check-In so we may review the form and contact you with
any necessary questions or concerns.
- Do you have a Scholarship Program?
Yes, you may download this from our website or
call
the office for an application.

- Why does my child need sheets and
a sleeping bag? Our mattresses are plastic coated
and a fitted sheet is more comfortable for the camper.
Every cabin has the option to sleep outside one evening.
The counselors lay down tarps and the children put their
sleeping bags on the tarp. Sleeping bags are much easier
for the children to carry than a blanket.
- Can someone other than myself
bring my child to camp for check-in? Yes, anyone may
bring your camper to Check-In. If you are sending your
camper with someone else, please call the office and
make sure all your paper work is in order.
- Can someone other than myself pick
my child up from camp at check-out? Yes, make sure
that person is listed on your “Camper Release Form”.

to check your child out.
- Do the counselors sleep in the
cabins with the campers? Yes
- What is the ratio of counselors to
campers? ACA standards set our ratio for 6-8 years
old 1:6, 9-12 years old 1:8, 13-16 years old 1:10.
- What is devotion? Devotion
time allows our campers to reflect on their day. During
this time, counselors led discussions and read
moral-based stories based on the age group. These
stories relay concepts such as friendship, honesty,
caring, respect, trust, responsibility, etc.

- My child is a vegetarian, will
there be options for him/her? Yes, there is a full
salad bar and non-meat options at every meal.
- Are the cabins air-conditioned?
Yes
- Are the bathrooms inside the
cabins? Yes, for ages 6-12. Ages 13-15, Adventure
Village have a separate bathhouse.
- Is your camp co-ed? Yes
- What ages do you take? 6-16
- Do all ages come at the same time?

- Are your counselors background
checked? Yes
- Can my child bring a cell phone?
NO; if they bring them, they will be taken away and
held in the camp office for the duration of their stay
at camp.
- How can I communicate with my
child during their stay at camp? Through emails,
regular mail or feel free to call our office if you have
any questions or concerns. Our staff will be glad to
help. Campers, however, do not have access to e-mail,
fax, or phones during their stay.
- Do you have a nurse on the
grounds? Yes, there are two certified nurses on the
grounds 24 hours a day while we have campers.
- Can I be in the same cabin as my
friend? Campers can be in a cabin with a friend as
long as they are the same gender and in the same age
group. Please call the office to discuss age exceptions.
- I have a group of campers (more
than two) that want to be together, is this possible?
Yes, we will work with you best as possible. Call
the office, and we will put this together for you.
- Do I get to pick my own bunk?
Yes. When we open the gates on Sunday and campers go to
their cabins, they get to choose their bunk.
