Safety at Camp Cosby
Camp Cosby is an accredited camp through the
American
Camping Association (ACA). ACA has many strict standards
formulated to promote safe and professional practices in all
areas of camp, including site, health and safety, food
service, and programs.
Camp is located just 15 miles from the nearest hospital and
a rescue helicopter is available if needed. During our
summer sessions, Cosby has two full time registered nurses
and fully outfitted infirmary that is open 24 hours a day.
Staff are all first aid and CPR certified. Waterfront staff
are all Red Cross certified lifeguards.
